No credit check Credit Cards for bad credit

There are a few specialist lenders that offer credit cards designed to help people build their credit score.

These credit card lenders usually start people off with a very small credit limit to find out if they have any real income to pay the bill, then gradually over time increase the borrowers limit if they stick to the terms of the credit agreement.
These credit cards do involve a credit check, as they can’t give a credit card to an un discharged bankrupt, but even people with a very bad credit history are likely to be approved, as long as the company can see

that person actually exists.
No credit check credit card?

The only true no credit check credit card is not actually a credit card, even though it might have MasterCard or visa stamped on it. This is likely to be a pre paid card. These credit cards are still likely to do some sort of identity check so they can comply with anti money laundering legislation. They might request some sort of government issued proofs of id like a driving licence or passport.

Getting a credit card from Capital One or Vanquis and making regular payments can prove to other lenders that you manage your credit agreements well, and make access to further credit easier.
A good tip is when you apply for credit try and make sure that the credit cards you do have are up to date and are not near their respective limits as lenders can look at this in a negative way.

Are there any other credit card providers except Vanquis or Capital one? I’ve already tried them but they rejected me for a no credit check credit card.
